The Lighthouse Education Service (LES) is managed by members of the LES Executive Committee, who govern the charity. All members are part time volunteers. Executive Committee members are also Trustees and Directors of the organisation. Among the team are specialists in education, social services, law, finance and business, as well as the Third Sector.
Each LES programme is managed by a management committee, who report to the LES Executive Committee. The management committee contains professionals with competencies related to their field of work.
Programmes are staffed by qualified managers, specialist teachers, an auxiliary team and volunteers. All staff are committed to tackling the causes behind under-achievement, exclusion, alienation and crime, in order to effectively assist learners and their families.
LES has enjoyed significant growth over the last decade and invested over £200,000 in community and youth development programmes. This has resulted in staffing levels more than doubling.
