How we do it

LES is managed by members of the LES Executive Committee, all of whom are part time and unpaid. They are also the Trustees and Directors of the organization. The trustees are made of people with specialist knowledge of the charity’s work, and people with specialist expertise, for example, in Education, Social Services, law, finance and marketing. The LES Executive Committee is the governing body of the Charity.

Each project under the control of LES is managed by a management committee. All the management committees report to the LES Executive Committee. Each project management committee contains individuals with a high level of competence in the project’s work as well as in management.

All our projects are staffed by qualified managers, other paid staff as well as volunteers who are committed to tackling the causes of exclusion, alienation, crime and underachievement and helping to improve the well being of children young people and families.

LES has enjoyed a significant growth within the last ten years. In the past five years alone, LES has launched a number of programs and a total of £200,000 in community and youth development projects; an outstanding record of achievement. Our staff have more than doubled in an effort to effectively administer our new projects.
