Projects:

LES offers tailor-made education, health, leisure, learning and support strategies to help raise achievement and improve the well-being of children, young people and communities.

Activities and services available include:

James Kane Nursery: 

Affordable early years care and education for 0-5 year olds, Monday to Friday, 8:00am-5.45pm.

Lighthouse Saturday School: 

Unique supplementary school operating on Saturdays, term time only, from 10:00am - 13:00pm. Offers core subjects and exam preparation classes. Saturday School is closed for the summer, it will reopen in September 09

Online Homework Club: 

Provides unique care for primary school children before & after school. Also runs Easter and Summer Programmes.

Health and Keep Fit Classes: 

Gentle exercise classes for all. Older people especially welcome. Diet and nutrition advice provided. Runs an annual health event.

The Lighthouse Group, T-base Centre: 

Unique project aimed at 12-16 year old young people who are at risk of exclusion or have already been excluded from school. Combines education and personal development training with indoor and outdoor activities, together with extensive mentoring support.

We train a vast army of volunteers work directly on the various projects, to raise funds, support users/clients and engage in other areas of community life.
