Who we are

We are Lighthouse Saturday School. A non-profit making educational service provider meeting the supplementary educational needs of our local community.

We have been in existence since 1991 and are growing from strength to strength.

We emphasis reading, spelling and homework.

Aims and objectives

Our main objective is to provide a friendly, disciplined environment where students can learn from teachers and from each other.

Who we cater for

We cater for children aged between 4+ and 16+. This includes primary children, early secondary students and examination candidates preparing for GCSE.

We also offer Keyboard lessons. There are classes for beginners, intermediate, advance children and young people. Like all our classes a qualified Music teacher is in charge of this class.

What we teach

Children from all backgrounds are taught by qualified teachers. We teach pupils core subjects: Mathematics, English and Science. We use qualified teachers who know their stuff!

Spacious classrooms.

Compulsory formal assessment of all new student intakes. Assessment will be routinely carried out using recognised assessment papers in:

 - Reading & Spelling

 - Writing

 - Maths

 - English

 - Science

Taylor made/Private lessons provided subject to tutors recommendation & parent acceptance.

11+ EXAMS/GCSE/SATs

Children are prepared adequately for SATs and GCSE using effective study guides. We also work towards preparing pupils for Grammar School exams.

MUSIC

Children not only learn to play musical instruments, but we help Project Manager them towards passing music exams.

Extra Curricula

We also go on school trips to places of interest where the kids can unwind and get refreshed from the rigours of tutoring and learning.

Special needs

We are able to dedicate members of our staff to cater for children with challenging behaviour, children with special needs and other children who need close supervision.

Open day

Parents are invited to see their children at work during such occasion. We also carry out fundraising activities such as Jumble sales.

Classes: starts at 10:00am till 1:00pm.

Keyboard class: starts at 1:00pm

Payment

Our fees are very low and we offer flexible terms of payment.

Payment can also be pro-rated. We also offer discounted fees for children from the same family.
